About The Big Wu: Here's some reality: T.V. rots your brain, and the internet is no substitute for social activity. Seems basic, but it did take a little therapy to recognize these sneaky truths, but not the horizontal-on -the-couch kind of therapy. Did you know that there are many fine and upstanding Americans who honor the theraputic value of live rock-n-roll music and, susequently, beer... The Big Wu does. The musical influences that helped create the Big Wu were loud, and large, and heartfelt. And over the past seven years, this Minnesota troupe has stepped into the role of creating the type of music that wants to course through your veins. Writing in truly American styles, the Big Wu slides, bends, rumbles, and chicken-picks with on the top intensity and good-time fervor.

Local string band Pert Near Sandstone describe themselves as both "new-timey" and "old-timey." Whatever they are, the band sure gets toes tapping with their hard-driving bluegrass. Pert near Sandstone keep things fresh and contemporary by incorporating elements of jazz, blues, and klezmer, and switching up lyrics to traditional folk songs. - The Current

About SLM: Not just a jam band, not a reggae band, or a jazz ensemble, or a rock band, but all fused together to form the original sound of SLM. Every song has a uniqueness to it. You will hear bluesy flowing guitar solos to shredding headbanging licks from song to song. We were sick of hearing the same songs over and over on the radio. It's to the point where every band sounds the same. With an appreciation for all styles of music, we're trying to create something for everybody.

About More Than Lights: More Than Lights is Zach Combs, Unicus, Natalie Fine, Reuben Rodriguez, Matiu Unga, Corey Hess, and Joshua Jellyfish. Together, we make all sorts of fresh music. It brings together hippies, hip-hop heads, hipsters, hamsters and everyone else under the sun. After spending most of 2010 touring and recording, More Than Lights completed our sophomore effort; an EP entitled Fun's On Our Team in January 2011. The release party at The Fine Line in Minneapolis was to a sold out crowd. Our new EP displays the high-energy and playful style the band brings to all of our live shows. And it's songs reflect the inclusive, familial attitude we've become known for.
5.
About God Johnson: There’s certainly nothing average about the music of god johnson. After leaving the Wu Fladager took a year off from music and then began the band as a hobby as he explains; “It started as a hobby, but it's grown into more of a regional sensation. We've got a lot of rock to us.

About SOAP: A fusion of highly danceable rock, intricate song craftsmanship and psychedelic funk. A group of four musicians set out to make every show inspiring, every note filled with energy and every body move without remorse. SOAP. Two cousins, Erich Krapf (guitar) and Skyler Krapf (keys), along with Ross Taylor (bass), uprooted the Illinois band and brought it to Minneapolis in 2008. They soon found drummer Austin Lee, and SOAP as you know it today, was formed. In January of 2011, SOAP will take up residency at one of Minneapolis’ legendary music venues, The Cabooze – bringing their party to this historic Twin Cities haunt every Wednesday night. With their second studio effort (What’s In the Box) due out in February, SOAP is once again taking on new musical challenges, both in songwriting and studio performance. Promoting the album, the band plans to tour the Midwest and beyond extensively in 2011. http://www.myspace.com/soap

About P.B. & The Jam: Having an unprecedented musical birth on the far north side of a distant Funk Nebula, P.B. & The Jam, in it's genesis stages, was comprised of gray matter & whatever was left of the Gods' sense of humor. From the tips of the Fates long-stretching fingers assembled a cast of locally-renowned Minneapolis musicians who would make a pact with one another to forthwith rock out without regard for aural capacities.
8.
About Roster McCabe: Roster McCabe... mixing reggae, funk and guitar-rock... led by Steele's searing vocals and Daum's twisting guitar solos... [is one of] five up-and-coming jam bands that could draw audiences to the festivals of tomorrow. - BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Roster McCabe sounds like no one and sounds like everyone. The second release of this three-year-old band, Through Space and Time demonstrates a deep, fresh, and inventive approach to modern music by twenty something musicians. Recorded at the famed Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minnesota and mastered by renowned Brian "BigBassBrian" Gardner, this Minneapolis based quintet has created a new hybrid sound fusing the best of the past 50 years of music into a cohesive, singable multi-genre album. Masterfully dipping into reggae, disco, funk, rock, metal, pop, soul and R&B, summing up this album with a single style would be disingenuous and impossible.

About San Souci Quartet: SSQ plays a unique blend of progressive string music using traditional bluegrass instruments. In 2009, they released their first full-length album, "Knock Yourself Out," with nine original tunes. The band has played many festivals including 10KLF, Harvest, Bella, Boats & Bluegrass, Log Jam, and Prairie Grass. The band has shared the stage with many bands including Hot Buttered Rum, Charlie Parr, Cornmeal, Oakhurst, Packway Handle Bad, Head for the Hills, Pert Near Sandstone, Wookiefoot, and more.

About Dirty Horse: Four piece rock, piano-less roll. Our music is best enjoyed in the company of others. However, this is not to discourage introversion. Filling empty spaces with loud noises is a common interest...especially among all of the bearded members...well, also among our non-bearded drummer. Floating life between urban and rural is a balance that can describe life in Duluth. Our surroundings directly effect the dynamic that is DIRTY HORSE.
12.
About Gypsy Lumberjacks: Songwriting built over time by the players. Slow growth and a propensity for world sounds. The music changes moods from time to time for the sake of everyones sanity.

Whether headlining a show or opening for such national acts as Trampled by Turtles, .357 Sting Band, Pert Near Sandstone, or Cornmeal, just to name a few - the band has discovered that once it plays a venue their likely invited back. This pattern played out throughout 2010 as these self-proclaimed "not quite a bluegrass band" musicians spend the festival season barnstorming the Midwest, building their fan base and promoting their first CD, "For Sheriff"

About Dead Larry: A delightful blend of psychedelic rock, dance and funk offers a look into the new generation of musicians and fans. Based out of Iowa City, IA, Dead Larry spreads a positive message to bring out a renewed feeling of passion and hope for anyone who listens. A group of 4 guys in their early twenties, Dead Larry loves to party and encourages the crowd to get up and moving. With a vast range of influences it's hard to pin down the sound, but comparisons have been made to Modest Mouse, The Talking Heads, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Dead Larry encourages a community of friends and family (known as "The Family of Funky Friends") that continues to support and grow with Dead Larry througout their adventures. Touring relentlessly across the country, Dead Larry is a psychedelic force to be reckoned with.
